Sherri J. (Fleck) BANKS, 39, of Chattanooga, Tenn., died at 10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, at Centre Community Hospital, State College. She had been battling a serious illness for the past seven months.
Born March 15, 1962, in Hershey, she was the daughter of the late Eugene M. and Shirley A. (Long) Fleck of Three Springs. She married John L. Banks Aug. 28, 1988, in Dallas, Texas. Surviving are her husband and five children: Wesley David Banks, St. Thomas; Leah Marie Banks, John Leland Eugene Banks, Austin Robert Banks and Dakota Paul Banks, all at home.
Also surviving are two brothers and a sister: Mark Fleck, Sandra Brumbaugh and Mike Fleck, all of Three Springs.
Mrs. Banks was a 1980 graduate of Southern Huntingdon County Christian School, Shade Gap, and graduated from Crums College in Manhattan, Kan. in 1985, with a degree in cosmetology. She was employed as a cosmetologist in Dallas, Texas, and Miami, Fla. Mrs. Banks was a member of the Bayside Baptist Church in Harrison, Tenn., where she was active in the Sunday School class. She
also actively volunteered at Wallace Smith Elementary School, Chattanooga, Tenn.
Funeral services will be held at Heritage Baptist Church, Three Springs, Friday, Aug. 10, at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. C. David Larson officiating.
Interment will be made in the Old School Baptist Cemetery, Three Springs.
